2 Licence Grant

2.1 When you purchase a CC Plugins product, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Software on the number of websites permitted by your selected licence tier.

2.2 You are purchasing a right to use the Software, not ownership of the Software itself.

2.3 The Software’s source code is licensed under the GNU General Public Licence (GPL) version 2 or later, ensuring compatibility with WordPress. This commercial licence governs your access to updates, support, and activation services.

3 Licence Duration and Renewal

3.1 We offer various licence durations (not all durations are available for all plugins):

  • 6-Month Licence – includes 6 months of updates and support.
  • Annual Licence (12 months) – includes 12 months of updates and support.
  • Professional / Agency Licence (3 years) – includes 36 months of updates and support at a preferential rate.

3.2 After expiry:

  • Updates and support will cease until renewal.

3.3 You may renew your licence at any time to reactivate updates and support.

4 Updates and Support

4.1 You are entitled to receive updates and technical support only while your licence is active.

4.2 Support covers installation, configuration, and usage of the Software as advertised, but does not include custom development or debugging of unrelated third-party themes or plugins.

4.3 Support is provided through the Awesome Support ticket system or by email during UK business hours.

4.4 If your licence expires or is revoked, your entitlement to updates and support ends immediately.

5 Plugin Discontinuation

5.1 We may discontinue a plugin at any time.

5.2 If a plugin is discontinued while your licence is active:

  • Updates will cease immediately.
  • Support will continue until the end of your active licence term.

5.3 No refunds are due solely because a plugin is discontinued.

6 Usage Restrictions

You must not:

  • Share, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the Software or licence key to third parties.
  • Circumvent or modify licensing or access-control mechanisms.
  • Use the Software to build a directly competing commercial product.

You may:

  • Customise or extend the Software for your own use or for clients, provided you do not redistribute the Software itself.

7 Ownership and Intellectual Property

7.1 All CC Plugins Software remains the intellectual property of Mr T. S. Lomas (trading as Caterham Computing).

7.2 This Agreement grants you only the limited rights to use the Software in accordance with these terms. It does not transfer any ownership or copyright.

7.3 Logos, documentation, and associated branding are protected by copyright and may not be reused without permission.

8 Warranties and Disclaimer

8.1 The Software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

8.2 We make reasonable efforts to ensure reliability but do not guarantee that the Software will be error-free or compatible with all configurations.

8.3 You are responsible for backing up your website and data before installing or updating any plugin.

9 Limitation of Liability

9.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits.

9.2 Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of this Agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the licence that caused the claim.

9.3 Your sole and exclusive remedy for any dissatisfaction with the Software is to discontinue its use and request a refund within the limits of our Refund Policy.

10 Refunds

Refunds are available only under the conditions described in our separate Refund Policy.
If a refund is granted, your licence will be revoked and access to updates removed.

11 Termination

11.1 We may terminate your licence immediately if you breach any term of this Agreement.

11.2 On termination, you must stop using the Software and delete all copies in your possession, except where continued use is allowed under the GPL for personal copies of open-source components.

12 Privacy and Data Processing

12.1 We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12.2 The Software does not transmit personal information to external services without your explicit consent.
12.3 License verification is handled securely by the Digital License Manager Pro plugin within our system.

13 Third-Party Dependencies

13.1 Our plugins operate within the WordPress ecosystem and may depend on third-party code released under compatible licences (e.g. GPL).
13.2 Any third-party libraries are acknowledged in plugin documentation and remain the property of their respective authors.
